WE ARE

PEOPLE OF ACTION

DRIVEN BY THE PASSION

OF PLACING SERVICE

ABOVE SELF

Abstract Lights

Chartered in 1922, the Rotary Club of Sunderland is part of one of the most prestigious service clubs in the world and is one of the older clubs in the North East of England.

Along with its Satellite clubs, the club links people with diverse backgrounds as well as within business and the professional stream, exchange ideas, form meaningful lifelong friendships and give back to the communities, locally and globally.

Serving our fellow citizens has always our prime objective. Like many of our sister clubs, we are able to contribute for the benefit of our local community and the wider world in the battle against disease, poverty, natural disaters and basic needs such as clean water and sanitation. We work closely with the University of Sunderland in reaching out to make our community a better place. We're proud to have been conferred with an Honorary Fellowship by the University.

The Rotary Club is one of the world’s largest and most successful global membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries.
